Looking for a Parish?
Finding a parish that feels like home isn’t easy, especially if you’re looking for a place where other young adults are actively involved. To give you a place to start looking, here are some of the parishes LYC regulars belong:
Cathedral of the Assumption in the heart of downtown at 433 S 5th Street between Liberty and Ali, one block from 4th Street Live. Many of us have volunteered with their lunch program, which feeds over 100 of our neighbors daily!
St. Louis Bertrand near UofL’s main campus in Old Louisville is noted for her beautiful architecture and liturgies. The Dominican Friars offer daily times for Confessions and will preach a heckova homily too.
St. Francis of Assisi near Bellarmine University in the Highlands is home to many young adults and couples. They’ve hosted some great concerts by touring bands, the Louisville Choral Arts Society, and speakers like Fr. Benedict Groeschel.
St. Pius X in Hikes Point is home to CAM: Catholic Adult Ministry offering spiritual, social, and service opportunities in the community.
St. Aloysius in the Pewee Valley area of Oldham County welcomes single and married young adults.
Last Chance for Mass: 10pm candlelit Mass at Holy Name south of UofL near Cardinal Stadium and Churchill Downs presided by Fr. Sanchez.
Just want a quiet place to pray or be with Jesus? St. Martin of Tours (at Broadway & Shelby between downtown and the Highlands) and Immaculate Conception in La Grange offer 24/7 Eucharistic Adoration chapels.
The Archdiocese of Louisville site also features an extensive Parishes guide with Mass times, maps, and picnic/festival dates!
